Frank J. Caufield (Director of USRF and TUSRIF) is a Co-Founder (1978) of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of the World's leading venture capital firms. Five years earlier, he began his venture capital career as General Partner of Oak Grove Ventures. He is past President of both the Western Association of Venture Capitalists and the National Venture Capital Association. He has served as lead independent director of Time Warner, and he served on the Boards of AOL, Caremark Inc., Quantum Corporation, VeriFone and others. He is a director of Refugees International and the San Francisco Film Society. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was formerly a member of its Board of Directors. He has also served as Chairman of the Child Abuse Society of San Francisco.
