Conference on Teaching Constitutional Law.

On October, 19-20, 2009 the conference “Teaching and Researching Comparative Constitutional Law in Modern Russia: Challenges in Modernization of Legal Education” took place in Saint Petersburg. The conference was organized by the Institute of Law and Public Policy, and was supported by the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation and major Russian law schools. The project was funded by USRF.

Winners of the student papers competition on comparative constitutional law “Rechtstaat in the Changing World” were awarded on the first day of the conference.

Leading experts on constitutional law discussed issues of modernization of Russian legal education in areas of teaching constitutional law and comparative constitutional law.

The Institute of Law and Public Policy plans to publish a book containing materials and recommendations of that conference.
