
Nadia (Nadezhda) Seryakova is now a President of the New Perspectives Foundation of Social Inintiatives Development (NPF), which she founded in 1995. The Foundation is a non-profit organization pursuing social, charity, cultural and educational goals in order to consolidate efforts of government officials, businesses and NGO sector in the field of strengthening, developing and protecting of civil society, as well as supporting social and philathropic projects of business sector and state.
Earlier, from 2004 till 2009, Nadia worked as Advisor to the President of the Contemporary Development Institute (INSOR) – the key expert and research think-tank of Russia, which is conducting studies and analysis of the contemporary social and economic situation in Russia, and it also develops recommendations to the authorities on how to improve the situation.
Before her coming to work in INSOR, from 2001 till 2004, Nadia Seryakova worked at the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation – first, as a Advisor of the Russian President Press Service, and after that, as a Deputy Chief of Protocol of the President of the Russian Federation. During that period she created the First Lady Protocol Service and served as a Chief of it.
During the 3-year period – 1992-1995 – Mrs. Seryakova was Executive Director of the US International Republican Institute (IRI) that was implementing a series of humanitarian and technical programs in Russia at that time, according to bilateral intergovernmental Agreement. Thanks to her efforts, the IRI developed and successfully implemented in Russia some new social programs.
During that period, Mrs. Seryakova also worked as the Advisor to the International Foundation for Election’s Systems, which, in cooperation with Russian Central Election Commission, was developing a new electoral system for Russia.
Nadia graduated cum laude from the Moscow State University of Culture, and, being a graduate students, she was invited to the USSR Ministry of Culture to work as a Deputy Director on Economy of Art and Culture Education Facilities of the USSR.
Mrs. Seryakova has got a PhD in Pedagogical Science, and she is also author of numerous projects, publications and books on Russian social problems, Professor of Russian Military Academy.
