
Karen N. Horn, Ph.D., is Lead Independent Director of Eli Lilly and Company, a director and Chairman of the Governance Committee of Simon Property Group (the largest U.S. REIT), a director of Norfolk Southern Corporation. The U.S. Russia Investment Fund and the U.S. Russia Center For Entrepreneurship.
Previously she was Managing Director and President of Global Private Client Services for the Marsh subsidiary of MMC, and before that: Managing Director and Head of International Private Banking for Bankers Trust, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bank One in Cleveland, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Treasurer of the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania, and a Vice President of the First National Bank of Boston.
She has also previously served as a director of Georgia Pacific, TRW, Inc., Rubbermaid, and the National Bureau of Economic Research.
She was also Trustee, Chairman of the Investment Committee, and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Rockefeller Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the Council on Foreign Relations, a director of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NEER), and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Horn holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University.
